The theory of women "leaning in" came about when I was pregnant. How naive I was to think I would always want my career needs and goals over just one more night at home my child. That I wouldn't cry on my way to the airport at the thought of leaving my little love for a week. That she would be fine without me, and I without her.
Since having my precious baby girl, I have been trying to figure out just how to Lean In, while I lean out. It's a constant balancing act.
